The Nigerian Canadian Association of Edmonton (NCAE) is excited to announce the return of one of the community’s most anticipated events of the year — the Nigerian Heritage Month Gala Night.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24, 2026, as members of the Nigerian community and friends of Nigeria come together for an evening of celebration, culture, and connection.

The Gala Night serves as the grand finale of Nigeria Heritage Month in Alberta, a month-long celebration that highlights the rich traditions, cultural diversity, achievements, and contributions of Nigerians across the province. Since Alberta officially recognized October as Nigerian Heritage Month in 2023, the annual celebrations have continued to grow, bringing communities together while sharing Nigerian culture with the wider public.

Guests can look forward to an elegant evening featuring cultural presentations, entertainment, community recognition, networking opportunities, and a celebration of the people and organizations helping to strengthen our community.

The event will bring together community leaders, professionals, families, youth, and supporters for a memorable night dedicated to honouring our shared heritage and looking forward to a bright future.
