NCAE Youth Financial Empowerment Seminar
July 23 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm MDT
Why Am I Broke? Practical Money Conversations for Youth
Money can be one of the most challenging topics for young people to navigate. Between school, work, social pressures, and future goals, many youth find themselves asking the same question: “Where is all my money going?”
To help answer that question, the Nigerian Canadian Association of Edmonton (NCAE), through its Youth & Children Development Committee, is partnering with The Financial Empowerment Initiative (FEI) to host a virtual financial literacy seminar for youth and young adults.
Taking place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (MST), this interactive session is designed for youth aged 16 to 25 years who want to develop healthier financial habits and gain practical money management skills.
Participants will learn about budgeting, saving, financial goal setting, and strategies for making smarter financial decisions. The discussion will also explore common financial challenges facing young people today and provide practical tools to help participants build a stronger financial future.
Whether you are a student, entering the workforce, or simply looking to improve your relationship with money, this session offers valuable insights that can help you take control of your finances with confidence.
The event is free and open to all youths.
