MONEY MATTERS: Practical Conversations for Youth & Young Adults

Money plays a major role in shaping our future, yet many young people enter adulthood without the financial knowledge they need to make confident decisions. The Nigerian Canadian Association of Edmonton (NCAE) Youth & Children Development Committee invites youth and young adults to join Money Matters, an engaging and practical virtual session designed to help participants build a strong foundation for financial success.
This interactive workshop will feature Dr. Yemi Umuago (The Money Doc) and representatives from the Financial Empowerment Initiatives (FEI), who will share real-world insights, practical tools, and strategies for managing money in today’s economy.
Participants will learn about:
- Personal cash flow, budgeting, and credit management
- Smart saving and wealth-building strategies
- Investment basics for beginners
- Financial decision-making in adulthood
- Navigating money matters as a young person in Canada
Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical guidance from experienced financial professionals.
